For those attending the 9th Battalion Reunion Club annual Normandy Pilgrimage, and for our other friends who might like to meet us at various events along the way, this is the provisional itinerary for the trip: Note that all times are estimated/provisional, and may be subject to change – the timetables of all events can be ‘fluid’.
Wednesday 4th June.
Arrive at Hotel Libera in Colombelles – Late evening.
Thursday 5th June.
0900 – Le Mesnil Ceremony, followed by wreath laying.
1000 – Battery Tour
1300 – Lunch at Merville Battery.
1500 – Ceremony Gonneville-en-Auge.
1700 – Ceremony Merville Battery.
2000 – 00.00 Curry Meal at the Merville Franceville multi-purpose Hall (French coach back to hotel)
Friday 6th June
Arrive 0930 for 1000 – Ranville Cemetery (ceremony starts at 11am)
1300 – Lunch Merville Battery
1400 – Pegasus visit then Wreath laying – approx. 4pm Breville-les-Monts.
Afternoon visit to Canadian Memorial and Dozulet (1745 at the station)
1930 – Dinner at Hotel.
Saturday 7th June
0900 – Pegasus Bridge/Museum visit.
1230 packed lunch from Hotel
1430 – Pointe du Hoc visit
1930 final evening meal at hotel.
Sunday 8th June
0600 – Luggage on coach
0615 – Depart for ferry home
