On Saturday 23rd of March 2019, the 9th Battalion Reunion Club held its annual dinner at the Union Jack Club in London. With 3 distinguished WW2 veterans, Phil Ward, Tom Hughes and Alec Smart, and many members of the 9th Battalion’s family and friends present, it was a fun and friendly evening. After dinner, Sylvie Dupont gave a message of greeting from the French contingent, Colonel John Power gave an update on the Parachute Regiment, and Alan Edwards spoke about the 2019 D-Day commemoration plans.
